Product Description
composition of positive leg NiCr (EP) is Ni: Cr~90:10; negative leg Constantan (EN) is Cu: Nize 55%, 45%.
Although EN, TN, JN are all called Constantan, EN and TN don not give the same EMF output curve as JN.
EN and TN are able to interchange but they are not interchangeable with JN. The operating temperature
range of type E thermocouple is -200~900ºC.
Type E thermocouple has the largest EMF output and highest sensitivity, so it is ideal for measuring small
temperature change. It also has good stability in the low temperature range up to 300ºC, and good
property of anti-corrosion in humidity atmosphere. It is recommended for oxidizing or inert atmospheres,
but cannot be used directly in reducing atmosphere and atmosphere with sulphur gases.

Thermocouple compensating wire is used to connect the electrode (cold side of thermocouple) with
display instrument in order to form a temperature measurement system. The working temperature is
-25~200ºC. Our plant mainly manufacture type KX,NX,EX,JX,NC,TX,SC/RC,KCA,KCB and WREC
compensating wire for thermocouple, and they are used in temperature measurement instruments
and cables. Our thermocouple compensating products are all made abiding by GB/T 4990-2010
'Alloy wires of extension and compensating cables for thermocouples'(Chinese National Standard),
and also IEC584-3 'Thermocouple part 3-compensating wire' (International standard).
